Undergraduate Medical Education

The responsibilities of the Medical Council in relation to Undergraduate Medical Education include the following;

• To fully approve or provisionally approve programmes and medical schools.
• To publish standards and guidelines on curriculum and content.
• To inspect medical schools and assess clinical training sites.
• To publish guidelines on ethical standards and behaviour approved for medical students.
