Professional Standards
Under the Medical Practitioners Acts, 1978 and 2007, the Medical Council is responsible for protecting the public by promoting and better ensuring high standards of professional conduct and professional education, training and competence among doctors. Doctors must always be guided by their primary responsibility to act in the best interests of their patients, without being influenced by any personal consideration.
If you have concerns about the behaviour, conduct, practice or health of a doctor, you can contact the Professional Standards section of Medical Council. For more information on making a complaint about a doctor please select the link to the left of this page.
