Improved Website Sections

In response to feedback from our website users, we have recently redesigned sections dedicated to doctors to make content more accessible and user-friendly. With feedback in mind and a want to ensure doctors and other users of the website can find information quickly and with ease, we draw your attention to the new sections;

This means all information for doctors registered with the Medical Council will be found in the Existing Registrants tab. In this area you will find; .

  • Links to your online account to manage you registration
  • Information about professional competence requirements
  • Annual Retention of registration information
  • Information on professional conduct and ethics.

To support doctors looking to register with the Medical Council for the first time, the Registration Applications section features

  • A new eligibility chart to make it easier for doctors to understand the medical register and the division they are eligible to apply for registration in,
  • Information about pre-registration examinations
  • A step by step guide on how to make an application. 

Doctors can now manage the majority of requests relating to their registration online, including the annual retention of registration process, transferring divisions and requesting certificates. 

As part of continued enhancements, we have also refreshed our website to a sleek and more user friendly design. All of these website developments are monitored to ensure improved navigation, and we work to continuously improve our website structure and design. If you have any feedback, please contact
