Medical Council Urgent Patient Safety Warning in relation to Dr Regine Grah of Silver Oak Family Practice, Bray, Co Wicklow

Friday 7th August 2026: The Medical Council is today warning patients and members of the public of a serious patient safety risk in relation to Dr Regine Grah, Silver Oak Family Practice in Bray, Co Wicklow.

Dr Grah has been suspended from the Medical Council’s Register by order of the High Court and is prohibited from engaging in the practise of medicine at this time.

The Medical Council has reason to believe that Dr Grah is continuing to practise as a GP, despite her registration being suspended by order of the High Court since 17th July 2026. The Medical Council brought the application to the High Court under section 60 of the Medical Practitioners Act 2007. A copy of the High Court judgement is available here.

We would advise in the strongest possible terms that patients and members of the public should not attend Dr Grah, nor request appointments or prescriptions from her.

Dr Grah faces serious allegations concerning prescribing practices of controlled drugs, along with other matters identified in the complaints. Accordingly, the Medical Council is gravely concerned, that if Dr Grah continues to practise while suspended, this could have serious consequences for public protection and patient safety.

The protection of the public and patient safety is the Medical Council’s first priority. The Council will continue to take all necessary steps under its statutory powers and through the Court process to safeguard the public and to ensure that compliance with the order is achieved.

Dr Grah’s registration is suspended under Part 7 and if applicable Parts 8 and 9 of the Medical Practitioners Act 2007 and she is prohibited from engaging in the practise of medicine at this time.

The lifting of the in camera rule permits the Medical Council to publish the fact and terms of the High Court orders and identify Dr Grah, whose return date before the Court is 28th August 2026.
